RULES
Eligibility

Open to bartenders, mixologists and beverage creators currently based in the UK.

Applicants must be aged 18 or above.

Applicants should have an active public social media presence on Instagram and/or TikTok.

Participants from hotels, restaurants, bars and independent venues are all welcome to apply
Application Stage

Applications open in July 2026 til End of Aug 2026

Selected participants will be notified directly by Boba Formosa by end of Aug 2026

Due to limited competition kits, participation in Stage 2 is by invitation only following the application review process.

Originality

Entries must be original creations.

Previously published drinks or competition entries are not eligible.

Participants must own the rights to all submitted content.
Finalist Selection
Following the Social Media Challenge stage, eligible entries will proceed to Public Voting on the official Golden Pearl Awards website.
Public Voting will take place between 16th and 29th September 2026, with finalists announced on 30th September 2026.
The finalists will then advance to the Grand Final in London.
Grand Final
Finalists will compete live in London on 14th October 2026.
Ingredients and equipment for the final round will be provided by the organisers.
Judges' decisions are final.
General
Boba Formosa reserves the right to amend competition rules where necessary.
The organisers reserve the right to disqualify entries that do not comply with competition requirements.
Competition Kit

Selected participants will receive an official Competition Kit.

At least one ingredient of Boba Formosa from the Competition Kit must be used in the competition entry.

Participants may use additional ingredients and garnishes at their own discretion.
